Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) will lock horns with Barbados Tridents (BT) in Match 19 of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026 at Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain, Trinidad. The defending champions have endured a difficult start to their title defence and will be desperate to return to winning ways against a Barbados side that has made a more promising beginning to the campaign.
TKR have played four matches so far, winning just one and losing three. They head into this contest after suffering a defeat against Saint Lucia Kings, who posted 211/4 before restricting the Knight Riders during the chase. With experienced names such as Sunil Narine, Nicholas Pooran, Kieron Pollard and Colin Munro in their squad, TKR will hope their star players can produce a much-needed turnaround.
Barbados Tridents, meanwhile, have won two of their three matches this season. Their unbeaten start came to an end against Antigua and Barbuda Falcons in their previous outing, but they remain in a strong position and will be aiming to get back to winning ways. With Quinton de Kock, Sherfane Rutherford, Chris Green and Daniel Sams among their key players, the Tridents possess enough firepower to challenge the defending champions.

Queen’s Park Oval Pitch Report
The Queen’s Park Oval generally provides a good platform for batters early in the innings, although the surface can become slower as the match progresses. Stroke-making may become slightly more difficult once the pitch loses its freshness, bringing spinners and bowlers who rely on variations into the game.
The wicket can also offer inconsistent bounce, particularly during the middle and latter stages, giving seamers opportunities if they hit the right lengths. Since this is an evening contest, dew could become an important factor later in the game and make chasing a more attractive option. Captains winning the toss may therefore prefer to bowl first and assess the conditions before batting under the lights.
