KEWASKUM — The village has introduced two new pickleball courts at Kiwanis Park, 1599 Brooklane Drive, after receiving an overwhelming demand for them from the public for more pickleball space in Kewaskum.
According to a Facebook post from the village, in addition to the two brand new courts, the Kewaskum Friends of Parks will be holding a free pickleball clinic for new players from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 8 with instructor Tom Griffith.
“Tom is a Professional Pickleball Certified Coach. He is a current ‘Pickle Pro’ at Pleasant Valley Tennis, Pickleball and Fitness and competes on the pickleball court 3 to 5 a week,” said the post. “He’s a great instructor and we are honored that he is sharing his talents with our community … at no cost to you!”
To sign up for the pickleball clinic, email the Kewaskum Friends of Parks, at kewaskum.fop@gmail.com. If you are already signed up for the July 22 free pickleball clinic, the Kewaskum Friends of Parks ask that you do not sign up for the Aug. 8 class, so that more people have an opportunity to play the game.
