Undercard results
Oleksandr Khyzhniak stopped Lenny Patrach in the second round after breaking him down with relentless pressure and heavy punching in their light heavyweight bout. Patrach entered the fight unbeaten but had no answer for Khyzhniak’s nonstop attack, prompting the referee to wave it off. The victory improved the Olympic gold medalist to 2-0 with two knockouts as he continued his impressive start in the professional ranks.
Ziyad Almaayouf overcame an early knockdown to earn a unanimous decision over Frank Lucian Mango in their welterweight bout. Almaayouf recovered well, landed the more effective punches over the later rounds, and gradually separated himself on the scorecards. Mango made him work throughout the contest and kept the action competitive until the final bell. The victory lifted Almaayouf to 8-1-1 and marked a successful return to the win column in front of the Saudi fans.
Mikie Tallon stopped Orlando Pino at 1:31 of the opening round after a blistering start in their flyweight bout. Tallon immediately forced the action, hurting Pino with heavy shots before putting him down to bring the contest to an early finish. The quick stoppage moved Tallon to 15-0 and provided another emphatic knockout for the unbeaten English prospect. It also stood as one of the fastest finishes of the card, drawing a loud reaction from the crowd.
Mohammed Alakel stopped Lydon Chircop at 2:02 of the fifth round in their scheduled six-round lightweight bout after breaking him down with sustained pressure and body punching. Alakel scored multiple knockdowns during the contest as Chircop struggled to deal with the Saudi prospect’s pace and accuracy. The referee stepped in during the fifth round after another damaging sequence, giving Alakel the TKO victory. Alakel celebrated the win with a backflip in the ring following the stoppage.
Sultan Almohammed stopped Efren Besalduch at 2:41 of the third round after a one-sided performance in their featherweight bout. Almohammed floored Besalduch twice in the third with accurate combinations and punishing body shots that steadily broke him down. Besalduch beat the count after the first knockdown but was overwhelmed by another sustained attack, forcing the referee to halt the contest. The victory kept Almohammed unbeaten and provided another early stoppage for the Saudi crowd.
Omar Hikal outboxed Brian Castellano over four rounds to earn a unanimous decision by scores of 40-35 on all three cards in their super middleweight bout. Hikal controlled the fight with the sharper jab, higher work rate, and cleaner combinations, preventing Castellano from building any sustained offense. Castellano had a few competitive moments but spent most of the contest trying to keep pace with Hikal’s steady pressure. The victory improved Hikal to 2-0 as the Egyptian prospect continued his strong start in the professional ranks.
Mohamed Mabrouk Yehya boxed his way to a clear unanimous decision over Bryan Zapata in their four-round super lightweight bout. Mabrouk landed consistently from the opening bell and kept Zapata from finding any lasting success. Zapata remained durable throughout but was unable to change the direction of the fight. The victory improved Mabrouk to 2-0 as he continued building experience in the professional ranks.
