Miami-Dade County police are looking to arrest troubled ex-NFL star Antonio Brown on an attempted murder charge as a result of a shooting at a boxing event last month in Florida.
As seen in shocking viral video from a celebrity boxing event in Miami last month, Brown appeared to pull out a gun and ran back towards a skirmish before shots are heard in the video. Brown wasn’t arrested at the time, and instead claimed he was the victim of an attempted robbery.
However, the other combatant told Daily Mail a different story last month. That man, Zül-Qarnaįn Nantambu, instead says the troubled former NFL star instigated the violent incident and personally fired the shots, possibly in response to a legal battle between the two in federal bankruptcy court.
The Florida warrant was signed by a judge on Wednesday and lists Brown being charged with attempted murder with a firearm and states the former wide receiver is to post $10,000 bond and remain under house arrest pending a trial, per the Washington Post.

In another clip that appeared on social media, he could be seen being led out – with his arms behind his back – by a police officer.
Zül-Qarnaįn Nantambu, 43, claims he was one of the men seen brawling with Brown outside the boxing event – but he has a completely different version of events.
In an interview with TMZ Sports, Zül-Qarnaįn has alleged that he was actually the victim of the attack after being jumped by the Super Bowl winner and two of his friends, before Brown fired gunshots at him with children nearby.
‘He’s a liar,’ he said about Antonio. ‘If you watch the video everybody was attacking me, it was a 3v1.
‘The dude with the green hoodie was with AB, the other little Puerto Rico-looking dude that was swinging the bat was with AB, and the rest was Adin’s security. The guy that he kicked was Adin’s security. All he was doing was pulling him away. He tried to swing on me, scratched my neck, and then it just turned into a brawl from there.’
Zül-Qarnaįn – a Muslim ‘freedom fighter’ and self-proclaimed hip-hop artist, fashion designer and filmmaker – claims his feud with Brown goes back three years after the former New England Patriots star allegedly got him arrested in Dubai back in 2022. He also suggested Brown owes him $180,000 despite not clarifying why.
After what he claims was an ambush from Brown and his friends, Zül-Qarnaįn Nantambu alleges the polarizing football player then went and obtained a firearm before unloading in his direction.
‘He went got a gun, shot wildfire and we fight,’ he continued. ‘He shot at me twice, praise be to Allah I wasn’t hit. They got children out their selling candy bro. He could’ve hit one of them kids.’

Brown has a history of making controversial and offensive statements on social media
‘He runs into me after he shoots me, we’re hustling for the gun, fighting for the gun all over the ground.
‘We’re holding onto the gun for dear life, we both get up off the ground and then when I look up the police is pointing a gun at us, the sheriff is pointing a gun at us.
‘That’s when I throw my hands up, he runs inside and that’s when they run after him.’
A topless Brown did appear on Ross’ social media stream following the incident, when he initially claimed he couldn’t remember what happened. He later released a statement on social media.
‘Regarding the boxing event that happened last night. I was jumped by multiple individuals who tried to steal my jewelry and cause physical harm to me,’ it read.
‘Contrary to some video circulating, Police temporarily detained me until they received my side of the story and then released me. I WENT HOME THAT NIGHT AND WAS NOT ARRESTED.’
‘I will be talking to my legal council and attorneys on pressing charges on the individuals that jumped me. I will keep you all posted step-by-step on the process. Thank you for the support and love.’
