Pakistan cricketer Umar Akmal has a habit of inviting trolls to his social media posts. From his messages to his dressing sense, he is always in the news. Umar was once again brutally trolled after he shared a picture of himself wearing a pink color shirt and shorts and wrote, “Real style never right or wrong. It’s all about being happy and being yourself.” The post went viral, and the fans started mocking him. This is not the first time he was on the receiving end. Earlier, he misspelled KKR, which led to massive trolling.
Akmal was once one of Pakistan’s best batters but couldn’t keep his place in the national team. He played in 121 ODIs, scoring 3194 runs, and managed 1690 runs in 84 T20I matches.
Umar represented Pakistan in 16 Tests, amassing 1003 runs. He last played for Pakistan in 2019.
In 2020, the Pakistan Cricket Board banned Akaml for three years for failing to report corrupt approaches made to him ahead of the PSL.
“The PCB doesn’t take any pleasure in seeing a promising international cricketer being declared ineligible for three years on corruption charges. However, this is once again a timely reminder to all who think they can get away with breaching the anti-corruption code.
“The anti-corruption unit regularly holds education seminars and refresher courses at all levels to remind all professional cricketers of their obligations and responsibilities. And even then, if some cricketers decide to take the Code into their own hands, this is how things will pan out.”
