Manchester City Women’s all-time leading goalscorer Georgia Stanway has confirmed her departure from the club ahead of a mooted move to Bayern Munich.
On Monday it was widely reported that Stanway is set to move to the Frauen-Bundesliga club on a two-year deal.
And on Tuesday morning, the 23-year-old announced that she will be leaving City via a statement on social media.

Stanway joined City in 2015 and went on to help the club to seven domestic trophies, including the 2016 Women’s Super League title.
In January this year, the England international broke the club’s all-time scoring record with a hat-trick in an FA Cup victory over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
