Miami Dolphins and Jalen Ramsey have mutually agreed to explore trade options for the seven-time Pro Bowl cornerback, it has been claimed.
The news first emerged from NFL insider Ian Rapoport, who says the Dolphins have already paid $4million out of the $25.1m that Ramsey is fully guaranteed for 2025.
He adds that the Dolphins may look to move Rasmey on before the NFL Draft next week, in order to receve picks in time for the event in Green Bay, although there is no firm deadline.
It’s a move that also signals potentially more offseason upheaval for the Dolphins, with star wide reciever Tyreek Hill repeatedly hinting he may want a way out as well.
Last year, the Dolphns failed to make the postseason, largely due to quarterback Tua Tagovailoa getting concussed early in the campaign.
Ramsey also signed a three-year extension in 2024, worth narrowly over $72m with $24m guaranteed.

Ramsey was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2016 before being traded to the Rams three years later.
In Los Angeles, he won a Super Bowl in February 2022 when the Rams beat the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20 at SoFi Stadium.
A year later, he was in Miami, when the Dolphins traded tight end Hunter Long and 2023 third round pick to the Rams for him, shortly before tha year’s draft.
It’s a situation that, two years further on, now looks like it could repeat itself.
The cornerback is one of the key men on Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel’s roster and has been the No 1 cornerback since arriving in Florida.
