In the 2025 MotoGP season, Tech3 will have a strengthened partnership with KTM, reverting to the name KTM Tech3. It will function not just as a satellite team but as a sort of second factory team, receiving similar support and opportunities.
The choice of riders dispels any doubts: moving away from promoting rookies from Moto2, Tech3 has opted for established names Enea Bastianini and Maverick Viñales—both with Grand Prix victories to their names.
With these conditions, high ambitions are only natural. Nicolas Goyon, Tech3’s team manager, emphasized to the championship’s website that the goal is to regularly achieve podium finishes: ‘We won’t have any rookie; the target will be the podium every weekend and this is something different’.
The Frenchman believes that KTM is taking the right steps towards becoming a champion in MotoGP: ‘I really think that this big effort from KTM will bring the bike to the top and the final target of this is to win a championship. I think this is the right way to act to win a championship’.
